Default Michael Storer talking about boat design

I don't think this has been posted, but I stumbled across this super interesting video of Rodger Barnes and Michael Storer talking about boat design the other day. Similar to his interview with John Welsford a while back. Some stuff I found particularly interesting:

    Lateral foils - 31:20
Sailing by the lee - 58:25
Viola sailing canoe design - 1:22:50

Mik is a bit of a wizard, and a tireless researcher of small boat design & engineering. I see shades of Phil Bolger - without the level of eccentricity. Happy to have him as a friend. If you don't already follow his website... you should take a peek.

I came across the Storer web site some time ago, particularly interesting to me was the articles on the "orange boat", and "his keel fell off".

I used his method of keel construction on my boat..
    Just an amateur bodging away..
