You have room for a drawer under the bath??
You have room for a drawer under the bath??

I've got nearly three feet between the bath's feet, a good 16" depth from the front of the bath to the central downpipe, and an easy 5" height to slurp up cleaners, sprays, wipes and what not.
I'm torn between installed drawer runners (neat, yet fiddly) or (easier for me) rollers on the lino to work this.

I think I'd go with runners. You could make the whole panel removable with something like Fastmount fittings. You can't see them and they're sturdy. The drawer front can either overlap or be flush.

We thought about doing that, but went for a more conventional solution, that allows the bottles to stand upright.

It really is quite difficult to build an ugly wooden boat.

Good work Andy!
On shower curtains, a friend proudly showed his new addition. It had the shadow of Anthony Perkins with knife hand raised...
Good way to start the day.
Ooh. Shou Sugi Ban sink shelves. Bathroom drawer on left able to slurp up loo rolls and tall bottles. Result!

Which means, lino, skirting, and t&g paint=finish.
I really have got this!

that is a lovely sink treatment.
i intalled a 48" wide sink/vanity cabinet and when my wife moved her stuff in, there was no space for a disposable razor.
off to the half bath with me and my (apparently pretty lax) personal hygiene requirements!
Wot LW said - all of it!! (except we have no half bath (whatever that is).
Great job Andy!

Half bath is a double sink.
Nice work Andy.
In US Realtor speak:
1/2 bath is a sink & toilet
3/4 bath adds a shower
Full replaces the shower with a tub - which will also usually have a shower head

yes, i aspire to one day having a 3/4 bath of my very own.
So it ( the half bath)isn't a low double sink sized mini bath then... step in and wash the mud and the blood from yer hairy shins type thing.

Aspirations are inspirations. Our lower level bathroom catered to the previous Tool Maker owner. Shower, stool ,and sink. With a port for chucking dirty work clothes directly into the laundry room.

i am a guest in my own home!
naw, i kid. separate facilities are good. i just need to add a shower to the other bath, still trying to figure out where to steal the space from.
Wrapping it up...

The lino is laid over 2mm laminate underlay and, while not as warm as cork tiles, benefits from that maze of pipes running under the floor, as shown earlier. Certainly not cold.
Job. Done.
(But we're now looking at the kitchen in a certain way.)
Current cost of flight to Arizona? £1236.
