It rained a lot here the last two days so the hills got green and we got a little dusting on the mountains behind my place.

That same front has reached us and we are getting good snow accumulation!

True JB ,me and my "neurotic builders eye" the only thing that does not look distressed lying on its side to me is a woman.
Hah and talking of laying down I have a fading childhood memory of my father and I one evening having the Waione on her side as the tide receded from the shallows of Kawau Bay nearer to Snells than any old log should have ever been.

We have had a steady snow for the last three days. Mountain resorts are reporting over 50" from this storm.

My ski tracks from an out and back 10k loop. I did not see anyone, a winter paradise. Scenes like this remind me of winter in northern Wisconsin.

I didn't know that the dog was such an avid photographer - - specializes in pet photography ?

I got a suet feeder a few days ago, and hung it outside the kitchen sink window.

Sure enough, it attracted this striking suet.

Nice! Last week I was filling the feeder & the chickadees were impatient. They're not much afraid of people & one was on the crossbar at the top of the feeder 2 ft from me & as I was rehanging the feeder, one landed on my head. Wish I had a pic.
