My euonymous hedge is finally turning red. It's about 3 weeks late.

A popular shellfishing location in Truro, supposed to open on November 1, is still closed due to water temps being too warm.

There is a row of Norway Maples along my driveway which should have dropped their leaves a month ago. They are a brilliant yellow.

We are in deep doo doo, folks.

I lived for a couple of years on an island where the highest point in 750,000 square miles of ocean was about 10m above sea level.

That said, the bottom of the lagoon, 200' under the surface of the water, is the subsided summit of a peak that would still overtop Mt. Whitney (14,505', or 4,421m) if you dug it out of the sea floor and set both peaks side by side in an Iowa cornfield today.
