The Small Craft Advantage
We extend this invitation to you or perhaps someone you know to join us as we share our life-times of experience in small boats in this unique compendium style book that we hope to have published by year end 2022.
If you quake in your sea boots when thinking about writing but know in your seafaring heart you have something to share fear not. Send it our way any time, we are happy to lend a hand if you'd like.
Our goal is to create a book of collective knowledge interesting and valuable enough that boaters of many types may want to keep a copy on board for the joy of reading while swinging at anchor.
The reason we are extending this request for submissions is simple. We believe there is a wealth of knowledge and experience far beyond ours that deserves publication in one book to be enjoyed by the world wide community of sailors, rowers, paddlers and pocket yachters of all types.
The parameters for submission topics is limited only by your imagination, creativity and knowledge. For example articles or full chapter submissions can include but are not limited to, Tips and Techniques, Boat Builds, Favorite Designs, Boats You Love, Interesting People, Near Misses and Lessons Learned, Voyaging, Cruising Stories, Innovative Gear You Use, Sea Stories (Non fiction or Fiction), Poetry and more. Submissions from around the world in any language are welcomed and will be considered for inclusion.
*We are looking for written content, photographs, print ready drawings and graphics.
Howard and I will be writing the introduction, specific chapters, topic articles, links between chapters plus technical side bars to build the theme linking everything together.
