2.5" Diameter .065" Wall Thickness 6061-T6 drawn aluminum tube vs. 6061-T6 seamless aluminum. Seamless is nearly three times the cost at www.onlinemetals.com. Would the cheaper (drawn) be ok for mast (Michael Storer "Viola" sailing canoe)?

That's a slightly odd comparison, as all the seamless tube I've met was also "Drawn"....

I'd much rather lay in my bunk all freakin day lookin at Youtube videos .
I wondered about that too, but that's the wording used by the vendor: www.onlinemetals.com.
Seamless tubing has no weld - a solid bar has been forced over a mandrel to make a hollow tube. That tube is then drawn over other mandrels until the desired dimensions are obtained.
Drawn welded tubing is formed by bending a sheet into a cylinder and then welding the seam. The resulting tube is then drawn over mandrels until the desired dimensions are obtained.
I will beg you for advice, your reply will be concise, and I will listen very nicely and then go out and do exactly what I want! (Apologies to Lerner and Lowe.)
Thank you, Michael!
For taking the time, I learned something before coffee!
