He had a 2” dia x 1” thick lump removed.
Stapled together instead of stitches.

Ours just came back from the vets, I think he’s more traumatized by the bucket of shame than the surgery.
Chill has had his hindmost family jewels removed some years ago.
No truth in the rumour that it used to be a dachshund, and had its chassis shortened?.
That seems a bit extreme...
If he ever drinks the brew of 10 tanna leaves, he will become a monster the likes of which the world has never seen
And another one, he really needs his own section...
The day before he got the staple stitches removed he had the cone off and immediately started on licking AND removing a couple staples.
anyone know how long dogs need before they stop licking their wounds.
Eg suggests 3-5 days, but I am concerned for him and wearing that restricted collar.
your experiences with your dogs?
Are you sure both ends belong to the same dog? Looks a bit like a chopshop job to me, you might want to check the chassis is not bent.![]()
without freedom of speech, we wouldn't know who the idiots are.
Our vet suggested ten days of cone for what appears to be a minor incision compared to your poor pooch.
Our previous dog would at certain times of the year lick her right haunch raw and so would live in the cone for months at a time, after a few days they get used to it and get around just fine. At times it seemed as if she was using the cone as a sound direction location device, she would slowly turn her head one way than the other than stop than charge off in pursuit of some poor squirrel.
That's a serious incision! Hope your dog heals well. I recently had a hip replaced - so a 6" incision. It was superglued - no stitches or staples.
