    Default A Cradle-Boat for Aveline

Not sure if this post should be here or belowdecks, but heck, this is a small boat -- we floated it in my son's pool.

I built it from a walnut tree that I helped plant when I was a boy. When it died 3 years ago I said, "Don't cut that one up for firewood!"

I documented the building, then set the photos to a song I recorded for my own daughter many years ago.

    Beautiful! Both baby and cradle!
I was born on a wooden boat that I built myself.

    Thanks!

It's weird that she's already outgrown it, and moved to the crib...
