Oh, that is tempting. It would fit in my driveway while I did the work. The sound of the caulking mallet would pay back my neighbors for all of their remodeling projects we have had to endure for the past few years.
One of my old and treasured copies of the large format 'Sail' magazine had a wonderful portfolio of the Bears, Birds, Knarrs, and IOD's sailing on SF Bay many years ago. Just looking at the photos was inspirational and made me want to get out and go sailing. Really neat boats. I hope this one finds a loving home.

That is dirt cheap. I wonder how recent the photos are.
I was born on a wooden boat that I built myself.
Skiing is the next best thing to having wings.
I am on the bears yahoo group (now email chain only); used to sail a ton on one - that is recent photo. It actually is in decent condition. Bears are a blast to sail but take wind. tough little boats.
Without friends none of this is possible.
I've had soft spot for Bears since seeing a fleet of them heading out for a race while I was visiting San Francisco. Sadly I don't think we have near enough wind here on my part of the Salish to make one a good fit.

If you would have a good boat, be a good guy when you build her - honest, careful, patient, strong.

I am making myself NOT look at this. No. NO. NO!
STOP LOOKING!
