    Default Gartside nr 203

Last winter I had possibility to purchase the hull of the boat in the header. Original builder had started the boat in 2014 but regrettably died when the hull had been built.
As I had discussed a boat project with boatbuilder Jari Vanhatalo he contacted me when he found the boat and we agreed that he would finish the boat in his company Miiluboats, placed in Kotka, Finland.
There were some delays due to usual reasons but I got the boat in July and as some work was still needed (battery, wiring etc and so forth) and also other everyday matters intervened, I got to sailing her only in August. As it is, I am quite happy with the boat - some adjustments and minor repairs will be done during the winter.
Some pictures attached, sailing pictures taken by Jari.

Beautiful! Hopefully the guy who started the build was watching from above and saw how lovely she is on the water. Hull looks very similar to Kingston Lobster Boat. Sweet lines.

Got her launched last Thursday. Made some possible improvements in interior; they can be removed with minimal traces if they were something else…

Wow that's a lovely boat, looks like a little almond in this last picture, so shapely. I love the fantail stern.

I made a video about some work for storage under the side decks and then the launch… texts are in finnish but general idea is hopefully somewhat understandable…

Now trying to get some sailing video done - some challenges there as there are several possibilitioes to break camera or get it overboard with so many ropes…

    Happy sailing!!
I was born on a wooden boat that I built myself.

The topsail… well, the fore and main are mostly enough to move the boat well enough; need some practice with it still…

Lovely. I though I saw a retractable bowsprit on one picture but I imagine it was the topsail spars or something else.
    Deeply envious!

Thanks for video Ensio. Beautiful boat and looks great for day sailing. Does that electric motor run off a battery under the deck?
