Mayfly 14 sail dimension confusion

Greetings, yesterday, we finally launched our Mayfly 14 into the water. My first experience with oars went wonders, moving her from her initial location to a restaurant at a distance of about 1km. Having happened during the sunset too, it truly was a moment I will remember my whole life.

Now, as we are looking into making her a sail, it’s layout on the plans has me really confused. In the book (boatbuilding for beginners and beyond), on the chapter about making sails, specific luff, foot and other dimensions are mentioned that are not present anywhere on the boat’s plans.

Is this some kind of misinterpretation on my part?

Luff: 4’ 9”
Foot: 10’ 6”
Leech: 12’ 6”

There are also broad seam dimensions.
