    Default Wooden Boat Festival

The Vancouver wooden boat festival is back after a year in which we all want to put behind us. If you built or restored your own boat, we have the I Built It Myself section which will be expanded this year due to more land space. Or if you are a small business related to marine industry, then set up your booth. For larger boats, we are not sure if full restrictions will be lifted in time here in BC, Canada, so we are adding a virtual component in which you can register your larger vessel and have it listed on our web site.

Registration is open for all categories now. Vancouver Wooden Boat Society.

Due to budget shortfall, lack of sponsorship funding and limited registration, the 2021 Vancouver Wooden Boat Festival has been cancelled. Hopefully we can return in full force in 2022

The society will still be organizing a First Nation boat display and carving demo during the week of Aug 23 - 29. It is sponsored by our hosts, CMHC and Granville Island.

Sorry to hear of the cancellation. Was hoping to get some history on Ken Douglas Boatworks and know-how on keeping these little gems in good shape.
