There is nothing quite as permanent as a good temporary repair.

Simpler is better, except when complicated looks really cool.
Just a tiny bit too much boost? Or possibly an oil seal blew and the engine starting consuming it’s own lubricating oil.

That fireball wasn't fuel oil or lube oil. That looked like nitrous, in which case I have absolutely zero pity.

I'd guess that truck was a diesel by the exhaust & sound. I didn't know nitrous was used with diesels, but I guess it is. Why propane Paul?

I watched the video on YouTube, there was another suggested video interview with the owner of the truck. Apparently he is trying to break a "3000 horsepower truck on a dyno" record. The truck is pretty much in pieces, not for the first time either, but he's planning on trying again.
