I hope my back is healed enough that I've finished Meg and can sail in.
I look forward to seeing you there.

Are you planning on attending?
Will it still be in March? They are saying many won’t be vaccinated until summer. Maybe a postponement?
I’ll go if I’ve had my vaccine by then.
July 23, 24, 25.
I think Phinny has taken some inspiration from the small craft show a couple of years ago.
HESPER is hoping/planning on being at the waterfront at PYS (normally we are at Forepoints) and the plan is to do some type of combination of day sails for show participants, and perhaps some dockside tours.

Late July. I like it. Hopefully we’ll all be vaccinated. Plan on some sort of after party here at our house.
I really try to avoid passing through Wiscasset in summer. No real need to go to Portland then.

Just come by water, Ben. That way you’d miss Wiscasset by miles. I’d bet it’s a much shorter distance, too.
FWIW, Wiscasset has more and better tuned stoplights now and the long lines, waits, interruptions, etc., have been smoothed out remarkably.

Got my first shot last Thursday, hopefully wife will be eligible soon (child bride). I so look forward to that show and hope to make it this year.
So the Maine Boatbuilder’s Show is this coming weekend! That snuck up on me. Come on over to our house after the Show Saturday. As long as you are vaccinated, of course. We will have some beers and grill some dinner! The party will be outside in the backyard, something we could never do for the MBBS before.
Who is going?
I will be there, staying up at Bailey Island for a few days. Not sure which day we'll go to Portland, Friday if it is nice. I will be one of the 50 or so old guys with a white beard and a pretty young wife. Say hello if you spot me.![]()
I plan to get there early on Friday, just for the morning. Becky's Diner, 9 AM anyone? https://www.beckysdiner.com/

I'll be there for all three days, with my newest build, a Doug Hylan designed, 13'00" Peapod. I'll be on land with several other new builds in the "I built it myself" category. Stop by and say hello!

Is it all outside this year? Nice to see it on the water regardless.
Fight Entropy, build a wooden boat!
There are inside exhibitors. Not as many as the March shows. I feel like they didn’t really do enough marketing. Still fun though. Caught up with folks we hadn’t seen since pre Covid-19 days. They’ve got some cool rebuild projects going on.
Wish I were there.
The biggest news is that Prowess is for sale. She’s the amazing 47’ Eldridge-McGinnis sailboat that has been in the same family for decades.

I was totally unaware that the show was this weekend. Damn. Woulda been good to see folks!
I do like the summer show idea.

I was there early Friday. I agree, it doesn't seem like it was well publicized. Still nice to get back out, see some folks and view boats. Lion's Whelp was impressive.

I was there Friday. Kinda missed the old venue. Beautiful day though...
Steve,
You're absolutely correct, I posted on the wrong thread. Seventy three years old and rust has started forming on my brain.
