Rattling the teacups.
I watch it and The Indian Doctor on PBS.
3 ticks for New Tricks...we binge watch.
It’s old hat, but last April we were both laid up with a case of creeping crud. Hacking coughing we feared it was near pneumonia, docs said it was only the flu, possibly sharing us with a common cold. Anyway, we watched every episode of Doc Martin. I believe it was 8 seasons. I’ll bet we put in 8 hours a day in Portwen. There are all kinds of little continuous details from episode to episode and even season to season. It was wonderful.
BTW: there were two movies before there was a television show.
The Algorithm Is Watching
Two 'New Tricks' movies?
I think the TV show sorta jumped the shark when Jack's wife's killer walked free.
I mean it's not a bad show after that, but the bouncy, upbeat theme music is jarring at the end of a lot of episodes.
I'm still on Season 6, but the playful element is slipping away.
Rattling the teacups.
We watched the whole series. We have watched a great number of such series.
Whenever my wife asks "Why did they do that?" My response is "They read the script." I find it hard to suspend belief. Or to engage belief. Whichever is needed.
Life is complex.
