Bad COVID news for a friend

My friend Jody contracted COVID about three-four weeks ago. She spent a week in the hospital. Now, come to find out, her immune system is rejecting her pacemaker. This is really bad, Jody has major issues with cardiac arrhythmia's and in the 5 years I've known her, has spent several week-plus long stints in the hospital in the ICU. A significant part of that time has been in coma's, either natural or induced. So add "Immune system rejects pacemaker" to the lovely list of possible COVID issues.

Jody is not that old...50's and a sweet person. This really sucks.

It sucks watching a friend go through such a hideous trauma, but the best thing you can do is be there for her, even if it means on the other side of glass.
