We have a 17 pound cat. Hahaha. When they fight, he will sometimes lunge at her and literally pin her down with his cat hands. Like a big brother or something. Hilarious.

He also does this terrifying trick where he runs from her, and when she gets close, he somersaults, and as she passes over him, he grabs her by the belly area.
It is a savage cat attack. I’m so glad he’s only 17 pounds. BTW, he’s indoors, recovering from yet ANOTHER wild animal bite. We finally figured out that he fights a family of foxes attempting to settle into the neighborhood.

It’s wild how domestic cats act so much like big ones.

Oh, you’d get the biggest kick out of this dog. The twinkle in her eye is enough to melt your heart. And, she has no idea she’s not really a dog.

Her dog heart weighs about 7,000 pounds.

The best time with the dogs is in the morning, when they get a “special treat”. The mastiff is as stubborn as any animal ever born, but also as obedient and mindful as any animal I’ve known; she absolutely will NOT go through an open door or gate without permission, and nor will she go first.
Mind, she will NOT walk in heel, because she needs to be out front; and she does not take her duty lightly. Hilarious idiot.

The mastiff sits patiently with her tail ticking off a steady rhythm on the floor, oogy drool oozing from her ghastly jowls. She really is the most disgusting beautiful thing, ever. She will sit, and sit and sit and sit, until you tell her to eat, and kiss her nose.

The Pom? She can hardly sit down. Up, down, up, down, spin 9 circles, down, up, down, up, spin 9 more circles, bark, down, up, down…
And she’ll sit, barely not twitching, glancing between whatever amazing delicious thing she smells and me, who won’t let her eat that delicious stuff until she sits nicely. Every muscle and nerve in this little ball of fur fires at once, and she does her damndest to stay still enough to not spill the food bowl.

Sometimes I make her wait an extra 10 seconds just because her spasms are so hilariously sweet. You can see her little brain working.

I very much enjoy dogs, and always have. Cats, too, though they’re manifestly different animals.

Oh, this guy’s cool, alright. Big dummy, is what he is.

Nobody out dummies the Queen Dummy. One of the finest judges of character I’ve ever met. Sincerely. There are people she tolerates, people she loves, and other people.
Other people don’t get to pet her, and don’t get to behave out of line or she gets a little “mastiffy”. She also hates birds and squirrels and all overflying aircraft, which pretty much means RePete hates them, too. They chase all the birds and squirrels and aircraft and bark at them, which is awesome during fire season or bird migrations. Hahaha.
The dogs really are like a cartoon.

Speaking of progress… this layer is done! Maybe one more layer and the whole shebang can be called a drawing. Maybe two?

    Who said that?!

It’s nice for me to have the progress marked, so I don’t get depressed about making no headway. Haha.

Also, NGL, it’s sort of a proof that these are actually drawings, and not some app. So many people think I just use an app to do all the “effects”, and simply trace and color with the magical stylus. I wish.
I am still so dumb, I just draw like it’s paper. Hehehe.

I actually lost out on a collaboration with another artist because I was completely incapable of working the appropriate app. The app I use to draw is not really a drawing app, in the artist’s sense. I remain as incapable of manipulating technology as ever.

I grew up poor during the era when “nobody would actually OWN a computer, and only a few people will ever NEED them for work”; so I learned mechanical drawing instead.

Anyway. I’m just happy to contribute to the folks that encouraged me to become an atrust.

Approximately 6 miles worth of wheelies (and only 3 or 4 loop outs!), and my mental state is much better than this time yesterday.
I just stopped and dropped the steed in the dirt to take this picture because been riding alone, lately. My riding buddy poked a big hole in his heel.

We got flash new (to us) GoPro to try out, too. Maybe I’ll have the kids help me and I’ll get some videos of riding wheelies through obstacles and around corners.

My book is about half full, already, and only a few True Doodles. The rest is 10 Minute Doodles of real scenes.

Maybe some layers with lightened values as they go back in distance? I dunno, but the fore/mid scene sure looks great.

Thanks for sharing your art Rob.

More trees! I think I may end up using as many layers for the trees alone as for the rest of the drawing. Hahaha. Soon enough I can move down into the foreground and tidy up some spots.

    Loads to do, yet. Whee!

I figured I could never do justice to the place with a real drawing, so I kept it to a quick scribble.
