Default I'd like to say thanks

to the man who runs this forum simply for it being here.

to all the participants who've posted mostly civil, and often educational, stuff.

It's made this 'trying' election period a bit less trying. I consider all here my friends, including those with whom I disagree on almost everything.

My heartfelt 'Thank you" to all.

Hard, thankless job, great guy! Hi Scot!
One of the most enduring qualities of an old wooden boat is the smell it imparts to your clothing.

Do you know anyone who could give it one? I'll send over some epoxy if you need it...

I will second what's been said here. Thank you so much for what you do here. This really is a wonderful group of people.

I'm reasonably sure that a "sticky" in Brooklin is applied with Stockholm Tar.

I think this forum is a wonderful thing, and I think Scot does a very good job overall in keeping it under control.

    Scot is da man!

    Who are these other people?
It really is quite difficult to build an ugly wooden boat.

    Words o'the finas' kind.

I agree. Scot is a mensch for putting up with this lot. And you lot enrich and brighten my day with your wisdom and humor.

All of you, even though some of what gets said here sometimes makes me roll my eyes.

Yes... Scot continues to do a better and better job. We have taught him SO much!! I'm almost ready to stop believing all those rumors about him coming out of the WB headquarters <G>

Seriously, Scot, keep up the good work! And yes... a sticky is deserved. Even if you aren't comfortable leaving it up for long... you deserve it.

Among other things, this forum has helped pass time in our shut down from Covid.

Much appreciated by my humble self.

Yes indeed, I extend my thanks to Scot and Wooden Boat Magazine.

It's like winter at the boatyard, coffee break around the wood stove, people of pungent personality sharing and arguing matters of value.

Somewhere around '95 found it. I did not even have my own computer but went into the DPU office early to research alternative energy and landed. Of course, I had every issue of the magazine. Anyway, this is my total favorite place on the internet.

Before the internet, flame wars over matters like authentic restoration and preservation and museum responsibility were matters for the letters section. Now we do it ourselves.

May this noble tradition of diversity united by a very weird love carry on. And thank you WoodenBoat.
