    Not for Nikon mirrorless.

Unless you use the FTZ adapter which is as long as a Zeiss 50mm on its own.

    (... just stirring the pot...)

It is rather easy to take a photograph that impresses when viewed as a 4" x 6" image on a computer screen. Coming from a perspective of commercial/portrait photographic training, many of these impressive small photos don't hold up very well when regarded as display art and enlarged to 16" x 20" or larger...

Photography is rarely about the tool but the person there, at the right time to capture the image.

Almost as fast as one's smart phone that currently sits in their pocket. It might be the perfect selfie camera to impress yourself and get you mile points on your credit card. The boxes it comes in are sweet.

Time and place is my space. I like story telling. Most photos I take for myself are not staged but snap shots in time. They remind me were I was. Spending time to capture them artificially ruins the personal moment and takes away from the experience.

My tool of choice is the my 6k video camera. 60 frames a second leaving hundreds of raw choices to pick from.

Looks like a Chinese company has been working on the same idea. The Yongnuo YN450, it runs on Android and comes with a Canon EF or a Micro 4/3 mount.

This one looks nice as an 11x14 print.

(Not my snapshots. Taken with a phone.)

iPhone? Ha! I imagine he’d wrestle a PRETTY big bear to get a hold of a nice camera phone. He rolls a Samsung S8.

Android is popular because it's an OS for mobile phones and it's free courtesy of the Googleplex.

Just like the old axiom that any decent application evolves to eventually incorporate an email client, in these latter days, [good] mobile phones these days are cameras that happen to have a telephone baked into them. Zeiss just left the phone bits out and focused on the camera bits.

Why I want an old Rollei twin-lens reflex. If you like to do street photography like Cartier-Bresson, nobody - these days - expects you to be shooting from your navel.

As a point of reference, a 35mm Kodachrome 25 slide is [roughly] equivalent to a 50-something megapixel digital image.

The Hasselblad back that will give you that runs about $50k USD.

I'm thinking about that. I have an 8+ that's due for a replacement. And the camera in the 12 Pro Max seems like it's really good.
