    ugh.

    red white black yellow
    six shades of metallic grey.
    four exceptionally garish "special" colors.

Pathetic. Not a single worthy color offered.
I thought you could also order special colours from Porsche?

Traded the Kia Soul for it. 325hp, new ceramic IMS and RMS bearings, new improved sports suspension. For the dollar maybe the best bargain in supercars - this 911 is hard to beat. It drives as good as you can imagine, top speed is 179, 0-60 in 4.9 seconds (or less) and averages 25 mpg (or the same as the KIA.) my insurance rate went up 13 dollars a month.

I agree with Doug on most of what he says. I do prefer the early 911 dashboard and I hate the headlights. Those are my only nitpicks on the 996.

the 996 is a far better car every day after driving them side by side. All the squirrelly bs that made the old air-cooled cars frightening are gone, the top speed better, better MPG and air conditioning works.

The fried egg headlights come directly from the evolution of the Le Mans Porsches rather than Hitler's peoples car.

Thank you. I feel very lucky. got this California only car for a super deal with all the worries removed. Could not be happier and it is well earned. I needed something to keep me going and stay client focused. Sailing for the most part has been shot since the fires and smoke started, Covid19 keeping me away from my much loved motorbike in Germany and huge changes in my house which left us a couple of large holes. My wife really wanted me to get it as it was something I wanted for 20 years and have kept the brochures from that year in my chest of drawers since going to the 2000 San Francisco Auto Show. In my 25 years of marriage, this is the first car I picked out. All the other cars I have owned/driven over these years have been selected for me by my wife and mother-in-law.

Mom could fit herself and 5 teenage swimmers in this in an emergency. It wasn't comfortable. (car shown not actual car my parents owed, just same year and color.)

Don't know what Porsche calls that color, but a couple of the bike manufacturers call it 'Seafoam Green'. Always liked it.

I thought Bianchi called it celeste green (celestial or aurora green), but looking online now, some appear more blue, but some are that same color.

#52: That's a really great green. I love Land Rover LR3s and LR4s in a similar color, really any ute, especially with a white roof, that's how I would order one.

I'm getting along well with Cobalt Blue. It has a lot of travel and is not entirely age inappropriate:

Is that really Janice's car? Reminds me of John Lennon's RR's paint job. I prefer Janice's to John's though.
