    There was one featured in one of the James Bond movies.
    The evil mastermind used it to chase Bond all over the place, cut his car in two, etc, etc.
    I was born on a wooden boat that I built myself.

    Cool. I would have thought a rail mounted rig would have been easier/cheaper/safer.

    One of the more brutal and damaging ways to trim trees.

    I get that it is cheap, but it is awful, and will exacerbate problems for the railway, down the line a piece.

    From my point of view, all mass methods of cutting tree branches along a right of way leave a brutal ugly scene behind. They used chemicals a few years ago in this area which left a much worse mess and toxic concerns as well.

    Beats spraying with Roundup/Crossbow which is what the power companies used to do around here for utility line right-of-ways.

    That thing went by about 1/2 mile from my house, what a racket. I got a quick glimpse of it doing its thing, scary looking.

    What is the kerf on that thing? Cut down the line or just outside and plane it?
