    Default Flobart, icyb

    Sock puppets?

They seem to appear right after the safe-space crowd here succeeds in banning the people that upset them, and to inhabit the same niche.

Thanks Paul, my better half made chowder with clams and cheeks. It was very good but I still prefer the gumbo. Jim Bow got the name at work. From the way I handled arrogant boss`s. Pronounced like a icy road then b.

    What makes you think that?

What "niche" are you proclaiming I inhabit? Are YOU upset?

Lob is an old English word for spider, so 'Spider Fart' then

Me too! This is the first 'trollish' thread that I've found useful! It caused me to look up the important question - do spiders fart? Apparently no one knows but now I know I'm not the only one who doesn't know. But I will listen more closely from now on!

Lobscouse was a stew, primarily from Liverpool made from lamb or beef, and what vegetables might come to hand. (But no lobster, so???) Common among sailors. There is another version for the very poor which was known as Blindscouse - it contained no meat. The reason that those from the Liverpool area are known as Scousers to this day.

    SBD farts. Silent, but deadly.

Loathe as I am to continue participating in a fart thread
If spiders fart, how many legs do they lift when they do it?

Having been born and raised in Liverpool I pretty much grew up eating scouse. But my Granny always said it originated in either Norway, where it is called 'Lapskaus', or Sweden where it is called 'Lapskojs'. It is called ' Labskaus' in Germany. In Lancashire towns on the fringes of Merseyside it is often called 'Lobbies'.

First time visiting after getting married, my SIL's husband who was born and raised in Wallasey decided that I should be introduced to the local cuisine. He did it with lamb - Thought his version was quite good, really.

Oh yes. That's why, despite what you see in the Christmas card pictures, Santa actually looks like this..

Yes lamb is great, probably my favourite. Out in St Helens (Lancashire) they make Lobbies with corned beef. It's OK, just different.
