Default Estimate costs and build time for Gentrys Annabelle SOF

Hello, I have read as many of the threads as possible about Gentrys SOF Annabelle Skiff, and understand that it is low cost and pretty easy to build.
Given these can range widely based on location and skill, could anyone offer ballpark estimates of the build time and material costs to build this boat? In my case, my location=western Canada and my skills=basic carpentry required to build fences/sheds, but no boat building experience.
    Thanks in advance.

You could ask Dave. He's pretty available I think. Contact info on his website (http://gentrycustomboats.com/). And he posts here regularly so he may chime in with an answer anyway.

Thanks, I thought I would post here as well as I know at least a few have been built by members.

I just got the plans printed my self and will be starting on this in the next week.

I think the biggest expense will be 1 sheet of 12mm marine grade ply. Ocoume is about $105 and Sapele is $170. I am probably going with the Sapele as it is stronger/harder and more rot resistant. Avoid fir marine plywood or exterior grade due to lesser quality, lower strength, lower lamination count and football patches allowed in it.

The remainder is western red cedar or the like, which is available at the local big box lumber store a moderate price (about $4/Bd ft). There is about 11-13 Bd ft of WRC in it.

Add to the wood estimates a couple hundred bucks for a skin and coating. If you want to sail it will be another $400 or so for the sails and maybe another $200 for all the rigging and hardware to bring it together.

All in I think you'll be a bit north of $1200.

Get good clear stock for the gunnels, or you'll never get them bent in without breaking.

I could easily make that build a three year process, no problem.
    Re-naming straits as necessary.
