I am glad that you enjoyed it, Andrew. PMJ has quite a few You-Tubes out there, often playing popular current song hits but re-arranged to an old-timey jazz idiom. They have also featured singers from the American version of The Voice to very good effect. I would encourage you to google Postmodern Jukebox and treat your ears.

I quite like this version of the song from the second post. Les Claypool's band Primus.

Thank you. Am doing so. I am a huge fan of Max Raabe and the Palast Orchester, who sometimes do the same thing:

Max Raabe and the Palast Orchester is great! I had not heard of them before. Thanks for providing another rabbit-hole to fall into.

Practically wore out the Jensen 6 x 9's in my '68 Cutlass ( in 1979) listening to this:

Love Stanley Clarke and Jaco Pastorius. Those guys completely changed the way we think about bass playing. I think of them as primarily jazz fusion guys, so if you want a bass player from the heavy rock genre who plays at that level of virtuosity, it's hard to beat Billy Sheehan..

He really is quite remarkable. I've seen video of him playing in unison, and swapping rapid licks, with some of the best shredders. Steve Vai and Guthrie Govan spring to mind.

When I got turned onto PMJ here about 6 or whatever years ago it was all Robin Adele Anderson and filmed in Bradleys apartment. That early stuff was just so good.
I thought and still think this young woman is utterly charming. Kate Davis.

I even resented that tour version a bit for a while when it followed her performance, but I got over it.
