Default Plywood boat plans in Woodsmith magazine

Hi, folks. I thought that I would bring to your attention that the Aug/Sept - Vol. 42, No. 250 - issue of Woodsmith magazine ( https://www.woodsmith.com ) has plans and build instructions for a simple plywood flat-bottomed 14-foot rowing boat. It could also be fitted with a low-power (3 - 5 hp) outboard motor or electric trolling motor. It is a simple build, and the article is well-illustrated with tips and techniques as well as clear, concise build instructions and illustrations.

Hope for the best, but plan for the worst.

    Thanks, MMD!

There are two kinds of boaters: those who have run aground, and those who lie about it.

    Howdy,
I'd really like to check that article out since that sounds similar to what I'm working on. My library doesn't carry that publication, grocery store is the only other option around here. I tried looking on their website but only saw a detailed shot of the oar lock area. Could you post a picture of the boat, so I can determine if it's worth my effort to track that issue down?

    Please/Thanks

    Yes
    Saw that
    Thanks

You can't have too many boat plans to look at.
Even God put one in his book but I didn't build it. I mean what's a cubit?

Tip of your elbow to the middle of your extended middle finger’s the usual definition, but 18” is accepted as more typical.

Problem being some ancient cultures were rather tallish so that’d be as much as 21 of our inches.

In other words not too reliable a standard unit of measure, but good enough for the job the Architect designed for you to build.
