A nicely done Grateful Dead cover that seems kind of appropriate for the times...

Bob Frank. I bought this album on impulse from a cut-out bin (remember those?) in '77 or '78. Went back the next day and bought a couple more and gave them to friends.

Last summer, wife and I took a road trip to Oregon, Idaho and Washington. At one point we passed through the town of Waitsburg, WA, which led us to call up this album on the music player. Some time later, I read that Bob had died - on the same day we drove through Waitsburg...

An example of Bonnie Rait's superb delivery of song with Bruce Hornsby on piano.
Saw them live at Hamer Hall in Melbourne touring this album. Unforgettable performance.

    OD -- Boy Howdy.

I use one of his song titles regularly. When my sweetie is working on a new piece and makes a bobble or three... I'll chime in: 'Clearly... that piano has been drinking'.

I love that song. And for pure picking... it's hard to beat Doc Watson. But overall - both playing and composition/arrangement... this is my fave --

Norman Blake has been a favorite of mine since way back. Tony Rice is no slouch either.
