Default Favorite Music: take flight and wing

No reason we should limit the sharing of some of our favorite music, or thoughts about music, to Friday nights.

So Watcha Got?? Bring it on!!

I'll start it out with a poem and a song --

    Back Together

She sang my soul back together
More times than I can count

    I hope somewhere somehow
    She knows that

    -- Cleo Wade

Rainy days like this always remind me of dear Linda --

I'm a big fan of a neo-prog band called Marillion, particularly their first incarnation with Fish (Derek William Dick) on lyrics and vocals. This is from my favourite album of theirs, Clutching At Straws, and it really showcases Fish's lyrical chops:

Yeah, they're good. They remind me of Lau, among others, but that concertina player has it going on.

I have always liked this one by Al Stewart. It tells a great story.

Talisk is great, I discovered them a few weeks ago. I just wish they had more music on YT.

Billy Strings. This guy just blows me away, and he's the one to blame for me now listening to a lot more bluegrass than I ever have before.

One of the consequences of picking up an instrument later in life is that you're more apt to listen to everything, and not confine yourself to familiar genres. At least that's how it worked in my case.
