Very nice Peter. I'll take one!
My wife says if it follows me home I can keep it![]()
That is an astonishing boat!
Quite a feat to map it out like that too. Awesome, thanks!
I remember sailing in the Solent. My little boat we were soaking wet, clinging on at 20 degrees of heel, wondering if we could manage our sandwiches. Eleonora went past, they were strolling around the decks, waiters in white coats with trays of canapes and pouring the wine. Fabulous
Reminds me of being on the deck of the Alden Schooner "Serena". Just darn wonderful! Nothing like booming along at sixteen kts. on a close reach!

That is super cool. Finally you can get the image of whatever rigging detail never seems to be quite captured in photos.
You know you have finally have a big enough boat when you have a lapstrake inboard powered launch upright on deck.
I wonder if its electric? Not enough room for a diesel in the engine box. The tender is 16.5 ft long according to the nifty measuring tool.
Oh man, I just figured out I can go down the companionway into the cabin.
I'll be in the big aft bathtub. You've been warned.

Such a sad ending for a magnificent vessel.
There is nothing quite as permanent as a good temporary repair.
We have her salvaged tender in the maritime museum boat shop here in Jersey. I’ll get some pics next time I’m there. It was under water for a few weeks so still decided what we will do with it.
I bet there are a huge number of fixtures and parts that would be of interest.
For the most part experience is making the same mistakes over and over again, only with greater confidence.
A sad ending to a beautiful vessel.
I was born on a wooden boat that I built myself.
