It's the main reason why I would like to ex-patriate.

We lead the world in the number of citizens shot by other citizens, and some people seem to be proud of that.

It keeps people polite and law-abiding, doesn't it?

    Yes, do something about it.
It will take a lot of effort over a long time, but it will be worth it.

    but….but…….. it's cultural………..

"The incident raises concern about the rising number of death by a gunshot wound in the United States. It is the second-highest cause of death for those aged between 1 to 19 since 2016."

I feel very lucky to live where I do. No guns to be seen or heard. If there are loud bangs in the night everyone assumes that it's kids with fireworks. No-one ever thinks it gunfire...

I just really don't understand the need to be armed, not with a long weapon but never ever with a handgun that only has one purpose by design and intent.

I wish you American folk well in your efforts to gently and sensibly disarm.

People have told me over the past 3-1/2 years that nothing could be worse than losing a child. From my own unfortunate personal experience, I generally have to agree, except I cannot imagine the pain and guilt of having one of your kids fatally shoot one of your other kids with a loaded gun you left lying around.

Living across a body of water from Paris Island you get used to hearing the shooting range (depending on the wind). Lately they’ve been hammering away occasionally with what sounds like a .50 caliber automatic. Very different sound.

The cadence calls when I’m out rowing are very inspirational though. Just the thing for a power 10.

I don't see that happening. What I do see is that the CPAC stage is shaped like the Nazi German symbol found on German uniform collars. Take this as a sign of where the USA is going.

We quite often hear bangs which are almost always gunshots, but not alarming. People hunting, sighting in forearms, target shooting, etc.

I'd really like to know what these two were talking about in the car after they left the mall.
