Default Q-Anon Shaman wants pardon from Trump

If Trump issues a pardon, wouldn't he be admitting his own guilt in inciting the riot?

Horned Capitol Rioter Wants Pardon From Trump: Only There At 'Invitation Of President'

Jacob Anthony Chansley, the shirtless, horned, conspiracy theory-touting U.S. Capitol rioter receiving an organic diet while in jail — now wants a pardon from President Donald Trump.

Defense attorney Albert Watkins told CNN’s Chris Cuomo on Thursday that clemency would be the only “honorable” thing after the president’s rhetoric whipped his supporters into a frenzy that sparked last week’s bloody Capitol riot. Trump, he added, “has an obligation” to dish out pardons.

Watkins said Chansley — also known as Jake Angeli and the QAnon shaman — hung “on every word” of the president and felt “very, very, very solidly in sync” with him. It was “like his voice was for the first time being heard,” the lawyer added.

Chansley, 33, of Phoenix, “loved” Trump and “felt like he was answering the call of our president,” Watkins said. He was in Washington “at the invitation of our president, who was going to walk down Pennsylvania Avenue with him,” he added. Trump told his supporters at the pre-riot rally that he would accompany them to the Capitol, but went back to the White House to watch the insurrection on TV instead.

Watkins acknowledged it was a long-shot attempt at clearing his client’s name.

But “with Trump you never know,” he added. “Who knows next time he may be represented by the Shaman rather than Rudy Giuliani?”

Chansley, who was quickly identified from photos showing him inside the Capitol in his distinctive outfit, was taken into custody over the weekend. He denies committing a crime.

Wants a Parndon for a crime that was not a crime?
    Either dumb or desperate.
    What is more likely?

    From this morning's Washington Post:

Rioters wanted to ‘capture and assassinate’ lawmakers, prosecutors say. A note left by the ‘QAnon Shaman’ is evidence.

As federal law enforcement officers sift through evidence tied to the attack on the U.S. Capitol, they have tried to determine what compelled rioters to force their way into the building. Namely, did any of them plan to kill or capture lawmakers or their staffers?

Officials now say they have found clues to that question from one of the mob’s most distinctive figures: Jacob Anthony Chansley, the shirtless, tattooed man often referred to as “QAnon Shaman,” who stood out in a headdress made of coyote skin and buffalo horns.

In a court filing late on Thursday, federal prosecutors in Phoenix wrote that “strong evidence, including Chansley’s own words and actions at the Capitol, supports that the intent of the Capitol rioters was to capture and assassinate elected officials in the United States government.”

The 18-page memo, which asked a judge to keep Chansley detained before his trial, said the 33-year-old Arizona man left an ominous note for Vice President Pence at his desk in the Senate chamber: “It’s only a matter of time, justice is coming.”

Just remember, there is no 2 week statute of limitations. I think this is why most of the people arrested were done so on trespassing and entering charges. Once The Donald is gone and can no longer pardon, the New AG will bring the hammer down on the really serious charges.

We have not seen the last of the arrests, nor the most serious charges, for example 18 USC 2384 Seditious Conspiracy. Most likely DOJ will want to bring these felonies before a grand jury for indictment. The grand jury proceedings will be held in secret, for obvious security reasons.

Law enforcement investigations are still in progress, and the grand jury process will take some time. I doubt that the prosecutors are delaying things waiting for Trump to leave office; it's just that the wheels of justice turn slowly.

    He has a point,
"Chansley, 33, of Phoenix, “loved” Trump and “felt like he was answering the call of our president,” Watkins said. so this..
    "He’ll probably get one too.

Which is why Trump must be convicted.
    "

Cannot have one without the other. if any justice is to be served.
