Ok quick question about the specs of this thread, is this supposed to be actual photos taken on the actual day or ANY photo you have ? I'm posting the photos I'm taking ON THE DAY

Try a photo taken that particular day so they are always fresh. But then again, I think everyone’s pictures are so beautiful, I gladly look at the older pictures as well.

It appears a lot of pictures are older. That’s okay as long as you want to post pictures you have taken. I don’t want to limit your pictures to where you don’t have time to take and post new pictures taken daily. I think that would stifle this thread.

Just post a picture a day. Old or new.

For a while I thought I had beaten that by downsizing but then it started up again, so now after I've posted full size I close the window and re-open it to see if it worked. Sometimes they're OK, sometimes every one of them has to be deleted and re-posted. It remains a mystery but at least I have the cure. It does make the process less efficient and somewhat frustrating for sure.

Often I give treats to different businesses. Today I bought a box of fresh danishes to the library and the auto part store. I called them up to ask how many people are working today. Then I made sure I gave them a few extras. It really makes the recipients happy.

Returning back to Kalkarindji NT, and heading into dust storm. This front came across before the rain and thunder swung by. I had just driven 100 km to deliver supplies to Larjamanu clinic as no commercial road transporters have been operating due to the holiday season. The health organisation had been getting supplies out to clinics any which way they could.

Went for a walk on newly opened conservation land in my town. This is 69 acres of woodlands around a pond. Nothing is level here except the wetlands which you can see through the scrim of trees. The woods is full of pitch pine, white pine, oak and a few native hollies.

In 1985, when my town turned 300 years old, a committee formed to preserve 300 acres for public purposes, almost all open space and water protection. It's up to 2400 acres now, and there are two or three other organizations with another 500 or so in their care.

the fires are a few hundred kilometers from here yet we are covered in smoke! I was in the north of Tasmania on the weekend and Saturday was the same in Launceston.....
The same moorings as the my pic above with the rainbow a few days ago, and the he headland middle left of the pic is almost completely concealed is about 350 meters away. This pic was today:
