One of the most enduring qualities of an old wooden boat is the smell it imparts to your clothing.

It shouldn't be too hard to break the prior page record. It's just going to take some time.

Gutless pile of poo , had to rev the nuts off it to get any acceleration, making me extremely reluctant to give away any speed.

Mad barsteward thing to n London traffic.

I had a Bultaco Mecurio. Like an idiot I didn’t replace the ten yr old cracked tires with new rubber and wiped out at relatively low speed on a wet off camber turn. This was a few years before regular training and bike racing. Gave it to my brother deciding the activity was too dangerous.

For what it is worth, there was some regret in deleting the lost thread. I do not believe Ian did it in malice but in rash thought of just clearing house. What makes me sad is the way we as a board interact here sometimes with some difficult opinionated characters. Our strange WBF community is a mix of ego, loneliness and internet addictions. Things written here are too often meant to hurt or offend. I would rather not see our great content deleted because of hurt feelings and emotional responses to personal attacks.

What a egocentric and vindictive move...

I'm currently thinking of getting back on a bike after a 5 year semi enforced break and those 400 pages were to be one of my main research resources.

    What a totally selfish act!

    Edited to add:
I have just received a message from Ian in which he asserts strongly that he did not delete the Motorbikes thread on the forum. He also states that he has not posted, deleted or taken any other action on the forum for the past 8 weeks. He also says that Scot has deleted every thread he (Ian) has ever posted to the forum.

This is pretty much exactly as I received it,

Way cool bike. Sadly discontinued. Hopefully CCM is able to secure a replacement engine that meets emissions. . .
