Lightbulb Where is your boat now?

Mine unfortunately is on the hard having work done to the engines.

    BUT it normally anchored/moored here.

It is visible at the centre and near the bottom of the pic.

On a trailer behind the daughter's house, under a tent shaped like a boatshed.

Doesn't do so well when the fresh water turns hard. And while folks did sail little boats very like this year round off our coast, as Chapelle observed there's a reason why fishermen who could build boats better than their neighbours became boatbuilders through the winter in New England and Atlantic Canada, rather than pull lobster traps in January.

On a trailer next to the house, under a tarp and a foot of snow. The other one's hanging up under the rafters of the garage.

There's a certain similarity of form to what's under that boat shed shaped tent at my daughter's house. How big is your imaginary version?

It is not actually my imagining. Just a future boat.

Quad and I have been through a few wee models for his figures (there was a thread that died with the project, which was rejected as ultimately unsuitable. It happens.), and this one is next in line.

It’s a 16x7’ (I think 7’) “gozzo” drawn by Paul Gartside. It was in that magazine, and I figured building a model of it would be fun. Mostly, though, it will be a nice prop for Quad. It’s a boat I’d love to own in real life, but, well, time and money...

He wants to do a seaside village series with his star wars, like the WWI series.

Anyway. I’ll do the other views as time and rain allows, then set up and build it. Milling scale lumber is AWESOME. I have somewhere around 198,976,563,234 board feet. Or, one old shelf.

Hauled out, in Cowesset, RI. It didn’t sell , this past season, so it will be launched in the spring as early as possible...
    hoping for a quick sale.

The major items were all dealt with last spring. There are, of course, several minor (you might say niggling) little issues that don't affect usability... but I suspect that there isn't a 15 year old boat that doesn't have at least a few issues which will eventually need attention. I noticed, when decommissioning, that the pearl gray leather protection strip on the leading edge of the bimini has a worn-thru spot... as well as a crack in the small overhead window (which allows the helmsman to see the top of the mast)... but neither of these things are worth my own expense and effort to fix, for the next owner... in the price negotiations, if he wants to withhold a few hundred bucks, on the basis of those repairs, that's fine with me.

Tied up in her slip. Here in Puget Sound, I can (and do) use her all year round.

The little boats are in the garage or their racks

This year my wife gave me permission to keep my sailboat on its trailer in a Marina Lot.
This way I could keep the mast up and just launch and go.
Last month I took the mast down and she it all bundled up in the Marina Lot.

Next year I will be getting a slip for the first time in my life.

FYI my slip will coat me $800 for the entire summer plus $50 for storing the trailer in the lot.

Looks ship shape and Bristol fashion, plus super clean.
If I were in the neighbourhood I love to accept and bring a good bottle of rum to celebrate it afterwards at sunset.
