    Default Remember when

Band-aids had that little red thread running the length of the wrapper? Like a zipper to open it?
Well... when you are bleeding like a stuck pig from a self inficted wound to the fingers and the wrapper is all slippery and sliding, that was a pretty good thing

As someone who works with sheet metal a lot, I like the newer cloth ones that one end is split so you can grab one half with your teeth and one with the non bleeding hands fingers.

Bandaid? Just grab the least greasy shop rag & wrap that around the finger.

However - I do remember those.

Last time I cut myself, I just wrapped my t-shirt around my hand. Kept the blood in until I got to the clinic.

The reason for a bandaid is to keep the blood off your project.

    I hope you are OK.

Simpler is better, except when complicated looks really cool.

Well, I was putting chamfers on all these newly made 1/2 x 1-1/2" battens with a freshly sharped block plane, holding the batten in one hand and the plane in the other. I never even felt the snick but the next thing I knew there was blood all over my work!
Sort of like cutting yourself while shaving, 'Tis nothing other than an annoyance... this sort of thing just happens.
And yes, I too buy those stretchy cloth band-aids by the gross, all one inch wide, and always keep a couple in my wallet!

And if you see Tom tell him the books are finally on their way.

The only thing made for left handers are toll booths, I can flip a coin into the basket at 50mph. And what do these idiots do, go to Easy-Pass! Dang, that's no fun at all. And, I've tried to use left handed scissors and can't use them. Too used to living in a right hand world.

You don't really have to use the blue tape, you should change the dressing within a day or two
