I am so sorry, good sir. Helluva loss when a great companion like that goes.

You are a good man to have taken him to your house and heart for those nine years.

Bart, our rescue beagle, died two years ago. He had his moments, but we still miss him.

Best to you and your family at this trying time.

    Condolences.

I think pets teach two things:

    1. Love is possible . . .
    2. But it has a price.

    Which I agree to pay.

Its tough, especially after that long. We only had three months with our second retired greyhound. He was fine one day, very lethargic the next, and gone two weeks after that - cancer in dogs seems to be astoundingly quick.

Damn - losing your dog pal really hurts. I hope you go get another soon to begin a new friendship. Life is too short without a constant furry companion.

Sorry to hear about your little buddy.

I have 6 beagles between 20 months and 9 years and dread the day I lose one.
