The only difference is that Epstein was in a federal prison under the jurisdiction of Trump's DOJ. Trump, being the boss that he claims he is, has to be held to the fullest of responsibility in the protection and ability to bring ALL criminals to justice. This is on Trump, even if he's not one of the many people who wanted Epstein dead and was also willing to order the deed.

Suicide watch: Here's a case where respecting prisoner's rights may have resulted in less protection for the prisoner's life. For example, full-on, surveillance 100-percent of the time might be said to deprive the prisoner of privacy. And stripping a prisoner of clothing and offering no sheet or blanket ( so they can't hang themselves) might be considered cruel and unusual.Our rights sometimes butt up against what needs to be done.

There are "safe" clothes so designed that they're unable to be used for any kind of self harm, generally used for people judged to be high risk of suicide. If he was on suicide watch, he should have been in those, and in a safe room.

I'm wondering if some bulldog of a prosecutor will be investigating this to see where the threads of implication lead or if its just going to be quietly let fade away.
