Default The art of logo design.

I was perusing the Library Of Congress website and came across the Sanford Insurance Maps. There are hundreds of them, and each has a different logo design. Each is a separate work of art. Example:

If you like logo design, Logo Lounge - particularly their annual trend reports - makes for interesting browsing.

What are you doing about it?

Ooohh thank you, I love logo design. My friend Marks uncle was Roger Cook of Cook and Shanosky Associates, they were the company that came up and developed the international symbols you see everywhere. When we were young we use to go visit them in their office in Princeton it had a profound effect on my design esthetic as well as my friend who is a design director now.

    I also liked there logo

No, this is the greatest logo of all time. The swoosh is successful because the product line is successful. The greatness of this design outlives the actual product.

Not a logo per se. Friends of ours who had just gotten married asked me to make some labels for their two cases of what they called Celebration Ale. I was trying to get my entreprenurial thing going at the time, and this is from a current phone photo of an inkjet page, for my then portfolio. Since for whatever reason the photo-hosting site I've been using for at least a dozen years won't let me edit to resize, you might be able to read the copy I prosed up next to the labels. The fish are shamelessly stolen from the internet, though I added the red stripes to the bass or grouper or whatever that is, and mirrored the sunfish and made a background 'school' of them for effect.

And while we're on the subject, in addition to wondering about your old wazoo, here's a fish I made entirely out of my brain and pixels on a Windows three desktop back in the nineties. None of this pic, not the rocks nor the river bottom or the water is lifted from a texture library, none of it is cut and pasted from somewhere else. I drew the fish freehand, then scanned it, and created the rest of the details, like the bobber in a Photoshop competitor. Photoshop was only available on Macs back then, and my entire company was PC based. I used to have to send this to a service bureau over a dial-up phone connection, to have camera-ready film made to send to the magazine. The illustration was the backdrop for a full-page, full-color trade journal ad. The headline and overlaying copy extolling the virtues of my company's particle counting hardware and software for liquids, and especially for drinking water treatment. The entirely subliminal (!) message being that our instruments can sample and discern submicron particulates in even what is thought to be the very cleanest water. The water is so clear, in fact, that the fish seems to be swimming in mid-air. Exclamation point. My company actually let me get away with making up magazine advertising with a whimsical skew.

Look close at the bottom of the page and see the proof copy of the actual composed ad, which includes the company's logo, a stylized overhead view of an anemometer, because the company originally made meteorological instruments. The owner founder of the company paid ten grand for it. The graphic designer who made that bank lived in Hawaii. That logo was a pain to reproduce in pixel-based images and layouts due to the unique curves. In the one with the dam, 'breakthrough' is drinking water treatment plant jargon for when your filter beds are so full after doing their designed job that they need to be back-flushed before the population of the town dies from giardia or cryptosporidium. Look at me with a selective memory for arcana.

Is it for real? Did someone made this logo for pediatric center?
I think most of us can do a better job only by using one of those free logo makers - https://www.beautifullife.info/web-d...e-logo-makers/.
Probably they had good intentions but the final result is honestly just horrible. Hope the next designer will do a better job.

Breakfast shmeakfrast. Look at the score, for Christ’s sake. It’s only the second period and I’m up 12 to 2. Breakfasts come and go, Rene, but Hartford, “the Whale”, they only beat Vancouver once, maybe twice in a lifetime…

By no means stellar quality, but here's my company logo - based on a real sign. Note that I write custom software & specialize in the design of the interface.
