    Default Couple of TH knots

    prototype lanyards
A couple of Turk's Head Knot experiments.
Top is 4B, 5L TH with interweave, Bottom is 2B doubled TH.
I don't know if I will trim ends close to knot or leave fringe.

You might consider making it a monkey fist instead of a turk's head. That way you can bury then ends. Also check out Chinese
    button knots.

I do like the monkey fist knot and last year published a tutorial for the

    royal navy monkey fist tutorial

which IMO is better looking than the conventionally tied MF

I just published a tutorial for the 2 bight Turk's Head shown in the OP. The ends can be buried if so desired. If trimmed close the the knot the ends are not evident

The top knot in the OP is a 4 Bight 5 Lead TH with interweave. THe ends can be tied in a stopper knot or buried in the body of the knot
