    Default Silverstone

    predictions, hopes, dreams. . .

i think hamilton dominates, perhaps a thirty second lead by the halfway point

i hope for a race as exciting as what verstappen gave us a couple of weeks ago though

a shower midway through would be fun

Simpler is better, except when complicated looks really cool.

LeClerc V Verstappen - full marks.

Second half has some interesting options.

For once, a car race with some interest. Don't forget World Superbike race 2 from Laguna Seca, coming up.

That wasn't exactly the type of impact the rear crash structure was intended for and it withstood it well.

Hamilton uber alles. He keeps this up he will pass Schumacher easily for total over all wins.

The nagging issue though is he a better driver than Senna, Clark, et al? For me the jury is still out.

No jury will ever produce the answer to those comparisons.

Senna never got to race Clark and neither will Hamilton or LeClerc.

    Ali v Marciano?

In the last series of "The Grand Tour" they did a segment on Jim Clark and analysed what he achieved in 1965.Hugely impressive and in a wide range of championships. Not really easy to make a comparison with a dominant talent in one series.A few years ago I saw an opinion piece which nominated a NASCAR driver as racer of the year and totally omitted any mention of Sebastian Loeb winning his ninth consecutive World Rally Championship.Lots of subjective judgements get deployed in these matters.I don't know how you could compare Nuvolari,Fangio and Tom Kristensen for example.
