Default republicans, ignorant or liars or both???

During the strongest performing economy in nearly a century, federal tax revenues are down more than 6% from last year leading us to a potential government shutdown in September.

    Dude. You’re better.

Still... I’m setting the line at 4 pages. Maybe 6 if Bobbys jumps onboard and snarks at each post individually with a comment about Hillary.

    Have at it, fellas!

Meh! Only down 6% ... they aren't even trying! Wait until Trump/McConnell's 2nd term.

Please don't be surprised. Social Security and Medicare are both very successful Democratic policies. Destroying them has been the plan since well before raygun.

    From the link

By comparison, the last time the jobless rate was below 4%, in 2000, the U.S. ran a budget surplus of 2.3% of GDP for the year. Revenue that year rose 11% from a year earlier. And in 1969, when the jobless rate last touched 3.7%, the U.S. ran a budget surplus equal to 0.3% of GDP. Revenue was up 22% that year.

Don't let us slow you down, SV, you are right far more often than you are wrong. I wonder if you have to bite on the bs dished up by our RWW buddies so readily... but to each his own.

It's just constant and I read h a point where is goes beyond nuts. I feel that I have to respond David. How others can't try at least to put him in his place even a little bit defeats me. And no, I don't like him very much.

I understand. And sympathize. And have concluded the intransigent purveyors of cowflop are beyond redemption. Not worth the energy it takes to type even one word. And yet I sometimes enough to temptation to essay a smidgeon of ridicule. More than they merit, but sometimes others appreciate the gesture.

And if I don't quote him I'd be accused of writing a post that has no relevance. Catch 22.

I am happy with a shutdown. I would prefer the Democrats shut down the government because of policy issues.

A source for you claim would be useful. I don't doubt that you are correct, but there does seem to be some opinion that differs from your claim.

On the other hand many people here have been forecasting a recession. Perhaps it is about to start.

The regressives here have it in for Jamie because he is an apostate.

As for the original OP question, both.

Now that the recession is over, those tax cuts should be reversed. Taxes should be increased, not cut. An economic expansion is the time to pay off the debt, not add to it.
