Had a ride in a 500ci Trabant once. Driver was in the only seat, I was sat on the aluminium floor, holding on to the roll cage🤣🤣

31 states "have no state law" (including Washington) and they say this (bold mine):
As long as its 25 years or older they can be imported and registered in most states. California may be an exception, but DOT and EPA only care about the 25 years rule.

TRUCKLA!!! The only thing cooler than the car is the woman driving it! I love that idea!!!

Maybe I will own a pickup someday.

If you haven't, you should watch her video on building TRUCKLA. She is one very cool girl!

So, did the intercooler help much, or do you need a re-map to make the most of it?

I'm boring. As a young man I paid off debts while driving an AMC Gremlin, imagining the TRUCK I would buy some day. Then, my economic act coming together, I ordered NEW 1988 Ford F-150 4x4 short-box Super-cab. Spectacular! I loved it -- until the rust started.

But I drove it until everything failed, then I bought a 2-year used 2000 F-150 - same thing. Fine vehicle. I drove that until everything failed, then bought a new 2013 F-150 -- guess what? -- same thing!

Much better truck. I'm at 109K now, and no real snags.

    I ain't changing.

Hah, a couple of days after saying VWs have all rotted out up here, I just about trip over one, and it's a pickup conversion...

I am not really "feeling it" as useful though, more for tooling around in.

edit: 20k miles only, must have done a lot of sitting around, give the coolant a good flush ;-)
2019: returning from being sidelined with medical probs, crossing fingers worst is over, still in "armchair enthusiast" mode for time being.

in 88 that had to be the best truck on the market. Was that the generation with the split-windows in the supercab?
