    Yep, that's about right.

What troubles me is that two years seems to be about the amount of time it takes to turn around a good economy and Trump is doing his best to make it happen.

I think you give them too much credit. It's still gonna take a lot of 'huh?' and head scratching.

Simplified too much. It took five months for Obama to get policies in place with traction to get the economy moving back up.

Taking that five months in isolation, ignoring the previous year's financial disasters and Bush inaction and ignoring Obama's later success is why when Trump claimed the market crashed on Obama's election he rated only a "mostly false" - the economy went down after the election on the same rate it had been under Bush - rather than "pants on fire".

So there around one issue we have two examples of false statements.

OK, so maybe there's a better chart out there:

Show me a chart that demonstrates what actually CHANGED when Trump took office.... was the trajectory of the usual benchmark statistics changed in any way, once The Donald was elected?

    (I suspect NOT)
"Reason and facts are sacrificed to opinion and myth. Demonstrable falsehoods are circulated and recycled as fact. Narrow minded opinion refuses to be subjected to thought and analysis. Too many now subject events to a prefabricated set of interpretations, usually provided by a biased media source. The myth is more comfortable than the often difficult search for truth."

And just a short time ago David G posted on http://forum.woodenboat.com/showthre...-Is-MAGA-Magic. Posts 11 and 14.

The material he quoted said the recovery - both Obama and Trump, has not been that good for those who are most in need.

Today there was an op-ed about how the Democrats are making promises to the middle class rather than the poor who have a much larger need.

The economy may be getting worse under Trump, but Obama did a lot of damage also.
    Life is complex.
