Default Home Depot RWW to donate huge sums

To some laudable recipients... and others, including the Trump campaign.

Bernie Marcus has long been retired from HD - but Bloomberg estimates he still owns maybe 70% of the stock.

Probably donating less than he got when Trump reduced his tax bill.

Trump has "a businessmans common sense"?
Does Bernie know about Steaks, Water, University, Airlines, Magazine, Casino, etc?

Bernie Marcus is one of those financially successful people... a smart and lucky entrepreneur... who falls prey to the notion that success in one arena confers knowledge and wisdom in all arenas. In fact... the sort of narrow focus required for such success tends to blinker one to the larger world. Such sorts tend to be LESS competent in realms like public policy and politics... and be clueless about their lack.

Lots of wrecked airplanes and sports cars attest to this fact. “If I an afford it I can operate it”. This led to the Beechcraft Bonanza being known as the “Forked Tail Doctor Killer” to this day.

Hey, maybe trump will take up flying and buy an Lamborghini.....

It should be noted that said dingbat hasn't been active in management of HD for years, and he seems to have divested most of his HD stock (in the interest of diversification?). And HD has done some sorta kinda decent things on the 'corporate responsibility' front. They're certainly not the ignorant, ideologically-driven, whackos that Marcus is. But that's where he fortune came from.

Which is the reason I boycott Home Depot and buy Lowe's instead.

    Resistance is NOT futile.
