    Default Namibia trip

Just returned from our trip to Namibia. Outside of the 17 hours in the air each way plane flight it was great. Fascinating country, very beautiful. My son is already making plans to return.

    That's cool.

There are two kinds of boaters: those who have run aground, and those who lie about it.

Just so long as you didn't shoot any wild animals, sideways is just fine. Unusual destination. What took you there?

They must have strong little toes so they can hold on.

Of course it's sideways. Namibia is halfway between "up there", and down under.
A couple of guys from work were having a very productive business trip there, about six years ago - until some tool did a U turn right in front of them out of town. One walked away, the other had a fairly horrific medivac out to South Africa, and eventually back to NZ.
He's OK now, but has a few titanium bits and pieces, courtesy of the South African surgeon who fixed up what the Namibian doc had triaged badly.

Do please watch this. Then I can discuss a bit more concerning our trip.
And no, we weren’t dealing with elephants. Wrong part of the world for those guys

I watched. He spoke well. Probably did great in the debating club at Oxford or Cambridge. I still hope you didn't go to shoot majestic wild animals.

Right now I’m making hay whilst the sun shines. Let’s chat in a bit. I think it’ll be an eye opener for you.

    It it was for us.
