    Women racing sailors are cool.

An old friend's daughter was on Maiden for that Whitbread--she went on to skipper an America's Cup boat, a couple of other ocean races, etc. I heard her give a talk to the Detroit Adcrafter's club once, with the title: "What I did with my advertising degree". Looking forward to the movie.

Saw the movie last night. Good story. The photography at sea made the movie. Gotta wonder how you hang on with a camera in hand--they didn't have GoPros in those days.

Love it, but the Vendee Globe is the toughest sailboat race in the world.

It's lot easier to put together a crew of all women.

Not sure what this means, the Vendee Globe is a solo race and women have participated:

Finally figured out what you are saying. Not only is it easier to put a team together but to sail with a team in terms of exhaustion, complete reliance on self, and sanity is much easier with a team. And added input for problem solving, repairs, etc. again is easier with a team.

I'm lucky to have known Tracy. She probably would not remember me though. I enjoyed the movie.

I think it is easier to put a team together if there is only one person on a team.

Anyway, regarding the movie, it does capture much of the feel of the race at sea. Locally, it oversold one theater here, but I don't know what the national distribution is going to be like. Documentaries don't usually get much play.

Since Jan and I saw it in Tacoma a few weeks ago, my wife has been on some kind of superwoman steroids or something.
