    Default D-Day song

The 75th anniversary of D-Day is upon us. My G-Grandfather, Austin John Hadfield, had been RSM of the HLI of C, which went ashore as first reserve at Juno Beach, against terrible odds, but achieved remarkable, though costly, success.
I don't have a song for him, and what they accomplished that terrible day, but I have this one, about an acquaintance of mine, who was overhead, keeping the sky clear.

    Lovely song, Dave.

I heard this one on the radio today. He was a 15-year old galley boy on the day of the invasion

When I was younger, I worked alongside men who had been there. Not many stories, but a somewhat hushed word was made it around.
