    re: planking skiff bottoms: Harry Bryan's uses a double layer of Western Red Cedar on the bottom of his Daisy skiff. He says that WRC moves so little with wet/dry cycles that there's no problem with leaks

    Yes 😁

    Its a nice contrast to rhe Nordlandsboats I sail, and I am curious. Also easyer for my friends with less experience in woodworking to participate, and its suits the materials I have.
