Oh, Joe; that will look lovely mounted on the handlebars of your Vespa, skirt blowing in the breeze... does it wobble like a hula dancer?

Maybe not the best in the islands, but the Old Lahaina Luau is a fun evening.

And by all means, sacrifice one morning to wake up early and drive to the top of Haleakala to watch the sunrise.

There are wineries on the way back down.

OMG we just booked a Predawn-sunrise Bike Tour of Haleakala crater for at 10,023 ft above sea level. We have to get to the tour shop at 3:00 am ( which means leaving our place at 2:30 AM )Tuesday morning. You get to watch the sunrise over Maui ( it’s supposed to be a religious experience. )Then we ride down.

39 yrs ago my girl friend, her 3 yr old son and I flew to Maui and I brought a Specialized Sequoia road bike w 32 mm tires. Rode up almost to the top of Haleakala then flew down. Most bizarre transitions in temperature and humidity.

    We are having a blast

FWIW the Five Palms was HORRIBLE !!!!

There is nothing I hate more than paying for crappy food, and oh my this was some crappy food. Two words come to mind "Tourist Trap", wait no another five words words come to mind "Change The Old Fry Oil" You could smell the old oil coming from the kitchen on everything that came out. The coconut shrimp smelled exactly like the french fries, smelled exactly like the wings, etc. Come on people change the fry oil once in a while.

The sushi was gas station quality...... on Maui ????

    We've been to Lahaina
and had a nice time, tonight went for shave ice after diving off of Molokini crater and watched the sunset.

We really loved Maui when we were there a number of years ago. Probably sat on the same beach!

It's a hot / cold outdoor shower which is really nice. The hot tub is a saltwater one which is also really nice.
