    Thanks!

    Hundreds, thousands, maybe millions Chris!
I read somewhere that of all the boat plans sold only a very small % ever get built.

Paint is dry to touch but still soft around the edges so I need to wait longer before I can start scraping where it got under the tape.

Should I make a floor grid?

It really is a cute boat! first thing both of my daughters said "that's cute"!

Y'know, Denise, for someone who hates sanding, you get some awfully nice results

Well it's a lot better than telling everybody how great I am! Because I'm not and never will be!

The thwarts now have three coats of finish on them, no reason to take more pictures, they look the same, when that dries, I need to flip the boat over and finish the verticals.

Thank you! Going to start wrapping it up and put it up for sale.

I may or may not take it for a maiden voyage. my plans were for September, so I'm almost a month ahead of my own "schedule" 🤣

as in the pic of yours my step did not have a doubler or anything more than resting the butt of the mast on the 1/4" floor and even though there is a layer of cloth on the outside under it it still caused me concern

just an old belt n suspenders man thinking out loud

It's probably not a problem but you have a good point! it's easy enough to glue something in there

Now that's a boat is empty, and just sitting there, every time I go to roll it over, or pick it up from one side I'm amazed how light it is. I would say it's about the same weight as my canoe!

I think CLC's information has it at 68 lbs. Of course the 4 ft beam makes it rather difficult for a single person to handle. I will have help to get it out of the basement and into the yard for her first photo session.

Looking forward to seeing her outside! You will have to take it for a row before selling, just to get the "on-the-water" shot, no?

I'm doing the rudder and Dagger board smooth and shiny today and tomorrow. I'm at the point now, where I had planned on drilling & bolting the skeg! I can't seem to rationalize it either way good or bad
