Nice, thanks for posting.
It really is quite difficult to build an ugly wooden boat.
The power of the web: Anyone can post anything on the web
The weakness of the web: Anyone can post anything on the web.
I'm not a fan of power boats, but that second photo pushes buttons I didn't know I had.
The second boat is called here something like ’fisherman boat’ - traditional displacement hull, adapted nowadays for cruising with necessary conveniences. Can be carvel vuilt, more common is clinker planking. Mostly motorboats, but there are many sailing versions that follow more or less the original sailing designs before the engines were used.
That sailing dinghy takes my breath away! Any more pictures? Thanks for posting these!

As per popular demand, a few pics more...
The Cigar, built in 1929 as an experimental fast boat...
Lottery boat... didn’t win it...
An advance warning for possibly interested persons: Kotka city will hold a largish wooden boat festival next July, more than 130 boats attending.

Thanks for posting. I have only been to Helsinki for one weekend. I was shocked to walk down to the harbor and see it packed full of wooden boats including many large schooners! Turns out it was a wooden boat festival and I got lucky on the timing. It left a very good impression of the city. I was served salmon chowder on board one of the schooners, and I still try to replicate that recipe.
It's a lug rigged Herreshoff Coquina which was in the 2014 Raid Finland> From Duckworks http://duckworksmagazine.com/15/gatherings/raidfinland/
Mats Vuorenjuuri's 14 ft Herreshoff Coquina lug-rigged cat boat. Mats and his son, Verneri, comprised one of three Finnish crews. He is a Herreshoff fan and, amazingly, acquired his beautiful unusual boat from a retired farmer in central Finland.
